Different Colors & Summer Wars Music Videos

Hope everyone is having a good day.  Anime crosses over with other products and pop music in particular.

A famous video is "Different Colors" done by a Japanese band named Fantastic Plastic Machine in conjunction with Takashi Murakami and Louis Vitton.  The video was a promo for Vitton and Murakami for SUPERFLAT MONOGRAM, but is a good standalone story.  It is about a little girl who visits the wonderful land of superflat in the Murakami style via a gateway at the Louis Vitton store in Tokyo.  It is very pretty with beautiful bold colors against a mostly white backdrop. It is one of my favourite shorts.  If you haven't seen it before, you are in for a treat as it reminds me a bit of Totoro.

Another famous video is actually the opening song titled "The World of OZ" from the Summer Wars anime movie with the song provided by the Korean Pop band called Clazziquai Project (클래지콰이).  This band has some great music too.  Clazziquai has even put English vocals to their Korean song, a wonderful favor for their English speaking fans.   Summer Wars was a fantastic movie if you haven't seen it, with the online world of OZ wonderfully animated in CG.  And doesn't the online world of OZ remind you a bit of the first video with the colors and the white backdrop?  I wonder if there was some inspiration or if it is just coincidence.
